Newb from Virginia

Just wanted to say hello to the folks on here since I've been "lurking for a few months. It's amazing what can be gained from the feedback to posts, so thought I should jump into the waters myself.

I'm retired from the USN and have been obsessed with getting back out on the water since I moved inland VA. I live on a small lake, but that's,, well no need to explain on here. I still join a few friends down in Hampton Roads for a few races and trips up the bay, but I need to be out there full time

My wife and I are hoping to go feet wet within the next three yrs. I'd love to make it sooner, but we'll have to see.

It's all about finding a way that works. All the best. You could like sailing from Hampton Roads - we do.

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
Good to have you here. Thanks for your service. I'm retired Navy too but now for many years.
Seems like once you've enjoyed the experience of going to sea in ships or boats that you just never forget it.
Kind regards,
JohnL
