New User of this site

Just wanted to introduce myself as a new user here. I've been a subscriber for a while but have not made use of this great site. My name is Clint Cheveallier. I live in Louisiana, north of New Orleans and have a 1972 Chris Craft Commander YF. I have posted some pictures of our boat today. I'm wondering how to get these into an album. If anyone can help me with this I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.
Clint Cheveallier

Re: New User of this site

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Clint.

Go to your “User Control Panel” (User CP at left side of blue toolbar), then to “Pictures & Albums” (under Networking), then upload.

Welcome Clint!

There are some great CF peeps from your area! bobconnie and growlymonster come to mind....

PS boatman is likely not going to leave his computer until you get your pictures posted.... You firmly cemented this fact after you said they were going to be.... WET AND WILD....

LOL WET & WILD does usually cause a stir in one's blood pressure! Actually, the boat was built for the 7-UP Bottling Co of New Orleans in '72. You may recall that their advertising slogan was 7-UP The WET & WILD Drink. So, that's what they named her. Works for me!

Re: New User of this site

Is there a way to identify CF members who are in my area of the country?

Re: New User of this site

Hi Clint,

If you didn't see my suggestion in your other post.... Just do a member search with LA as the only parameter.... TONS...

Re: New User of this site

So far I haven't figured out how to do a home state search. I keep coming up with nothing.

Go to the "community" drop down menu in the top center of the page... click "members list".... Then put LA in the search at the top right corner!

I come up with 5,568 results!

Re: New User of this site

When I do that I get tons of posts covering every possible subject and I see no indication that any of those posting is from LA. I'm doing exactly what you suggest, and pulling down the "search" box after I get the members list

Thanks, Land Cruiser: We've owned her since 2010 and took care of most of the updates the first year. If you have not done so, check our her website at - Home. She has been in fresh water in a covered slip since 1976. Come see her!

Well.... I never said it was an effective method... Let alone perfect... Kind of akin to throwing a grenade in the room.... Also it was completely ineffective for your search when I actually tried it.... Sorry...

Try this... go to the "advanced search" and then put Louisiana in the "LOCATION" box.... I come up with 45 results all in LA
