New to the Forum, New to Sailing!

Good afternoon, friends!

We're currently living in Jensen Beach, Fl and have just purchased our first sailboat! We now own a '83 S2 7.3... and it is so awesome. We're new to sailing, so what better place to answer our silly questions than a forum like this. Thank you to whoever had the brilliant idea to start this site!

Our little boat was stripped of her name by the previous owner, but we have a beautiful name in store that will be added after bottom paint and a good buff and wax.

We love our little boat and we look forward to sharing stories with you all!

Mis-read the description and thought you had bought an 83 foot boat to start with.

Now that my pulse has returned to normal - congrats.

Re: New to the Forum, New to Sailing!

Ahoy, Not really new just have not been here in about 6 yr. Last post I was solo sailing my West Sail 32 around the Pacific. Home port was Hilo Hi. After a year and 10,000 miles I had to give it up and sell the boat due to health issues. At the time I thought I'd been there and done that and was through with sailing. Wrong, I guess it's true about it getting into the blood. Just bought a '72 Morgan 42 Mk2 and can find very little info on the web on this model. To start I'd like to know how many were built and the year they ended the build. Thanks for any info. It's good to be back. David B.

Well, welcome to both of you then! Rebeccasols, how about sending a few shots of your new baby? I believe your boat has the keel molded in with no keel bolts... Personally that is a feature I like. Those S2s have a good rep. And David B. I know what you mean... once it is in your blood, you're hooked!
