new to sailing and this forum .need a lil help with volvo md2b

i got a bruce kelly 34 sloop 6 months ago.
fixed bulkheads n leaks .
new battery n fuel tank n filters got motor running for 2 days then it died and wont start.
have been sailing a bit every day but really miss my motor.
anyone had a md2b with a few tips please.

The Volvo MD2B was made between 1970 through 1975, so parts may be rare and expensive.

thanks got shop manual.
pulled injector out to test and it started ,and blew nice mist of diesel in my face. put it back in and it wont start.i now parts are hard to find but it was all i could afford. just need to get it to make it to georgia where i have some work and decide weather to replace or rebuild

Good to have you here.
I hope you have started a thread under the propulsion section. Someone here could be of help. Just because you get spray at the injectors doesn't mean its the right pattern. You probably know that already.

Hello,Airhamish: I have done a quick look to your engine manual,I would suggest to check the compression of your cylinders, and check those decompression levers, just in case they are activated.
