New to liveaboard cruising, but not new to sailing

Hi All! My husband and I moved aboard our Sabre 42, Valhalla, with our black Lab, Ragnar. We've had Valhalla for 7 years, sailing her in and around Long Island Sound and the southern New England coast during sailing season. Over the past 2 years we've put Valhalla through a major refit as we prepped for enjoying our emptynester status as liveaboard cruisers while we're still somewhat agile and healthy. We left our homeport, Essex CT, last week and are Bahamas bound ‐ eventually. We'll take our time heading down the East Coast.
I've been reading Cruisers Forum for a long time, but now that we've left our home waters, we may have questions about some of the places we're heading to that other sailors may have familiarity with.
Hoping for fair winds and following seas and wishing the same for all of you!

Re: New to liveaboard cruising, but not new to sailing

Welcome to CruisersForum!

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
