New to forum, boating, and boat owning. 76 Cheoy Lee 33' Clipper Ketch "basket case".
So, going to make this short as I am about to leave the pub, but I bought Serenity, she floats, lol. I'm in Honolulu, and living aboard at the moment.
I know very little about boats at this point ,but understand science and mechanics, etc. Also know about "marine grade" construction.
She is a diamond in the rough. Real rough! Hope to chat more in the near future.

Welcome aboard GJ71!
It will be a good way to learn, but take it slow and don't bite off more than you can crew.

Welcome. Pub? Did you purchase the 33 ketch before, during, or after the pub? Lol

Welcome aboard GJ!
Good luck with your new boat. She will be a challenge, as all boats are, from a maintenance POV. Just remember to prioritize and tackle one job at a time and you will come out fine.
This is a good group of folks with lots of armchair advice. While in the pub, meet other sailors, share your questions, and learn.
Good luck!
Bill.

Wait till you see the pictures. LOLOLOL. Most common comment from the pier, "i see you like a challenge."
I am familiar with forums, ZRXOA and KZRider being two I've participated in, this just looked like the one.
I look forward to the time I can lend back in to the knowledge pool.

Gotta love someone with that much spirit of adventure, most people just buy watches or dodgy chook raffle tickets at the pub ...Good luck with the new girl, 'Serenity' sounds deceiving for a project boat's name though ;-)
cheers
Adele :-)

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Yes, many of us have our "cross to bear." Mine was in Pearl Harbor nearly sunk at the pier.
kind regards,

No, she isn't suppose to be a sloop. Got some ideas for her, but for now I just live.
