New to Cruisers Forum

Hi All,
My name is Christopher, I started sailing when I was 19 and got my PCOC when I was 21. Unfortunately I have done much sailing since 2012, but I want to get back out on the water.
For a while my dream boat was a Catalina 30 but after reading into what would make more sense... I am now looking at a Hans Christian 43 and hope to be able to purchase one in Dec 2019 or Jan 2020.
I was on Sailnet for a bit as well, using the same user name, just with dashes before and after it (if anyone remembers me from over there).

Looking for to asking questions, learning more and getting back out on the water.

Welcome! Used to be on Sailnet as well.

Big difference between 30 and 43! Be sure you know what you are getting into.

Re: New to Cruisers Forum

Yes it is.
With the Cat 30 back then I was just planning on staying in coastal waters and not venturing too far.
However, more recently, I have instead been looking for more a blue water boat with a full keel.
I also love the interior layout and rig of the HC 43 Ketch and am looking forward to the day I can say I own one.

Probably for most of 2020 I would be sailing in BC, around the Sunshine coat and Desolation Sound maybe even up to Haida Gwaii.
The following year, I would like to go further to the South Pacific.
