New to Cats - FP Mahe 36 in Queensland, Australia

Hello, my husband Wayne and I are waiting for delivery of our new Fountaine Pajot Mahe 36 end of December in Brisbane Australia. We have monohull sailing experience but are new to Cats. We will be living aboard full time, and cruising Australia, South Pacific and Asia. No plans to go around. Right now we are working out some extras for the boat, and would be interested in discussing any ideas about the FP Mahe 36 in particular, or cruising in cats in general. Personally we have retired early and just left the US. Decided to fly to Australia and start here rather than buy in the US.

Welcome Rozzie. Look forward to meeting you somewhere on our waters, either on the Queensland or New South Wales coast.

Thanks!

Thank you for your replies. We are so looking forward to getting onboard. It seems overwhelming at times but Im trying to keep it simple.

Ive been reading a lot of threads here, and there seems to be a wide variety of answers to just about every question someone might have.
Weve never boughten a new boat, this is our first so it's quite the experience. We are buying through Multihull Solutions in Mooloolaba. (Queensland). Keep our fingers and toes crossed that it goes smoothly. So far we have had a few issues, but they have worked through them professionally.
