New Sailors in Canada
Hi everyone, we just purchased our 1st boat, a macgregor 25, both new to sailing, i took the course last summer. Looking foreward to a summer of sleeping on the water and relaxing cruising, feel free to say hi and offer any advice. hoping to get the boat in the water in next two weeks

Welcome
I assume you are from Nova Scotia. Mahone Bay is on my list of must-do cruising areas. I frequent the West Coast.

bn,
What a great time you will have. Just remember the learning curve for saing and packing food. Hopefully you will be nowhere near the Bay of Fundy. I could not imagine trying to sail on that bay.

Well you sure do catch on quickly. You sound like you have it figured out. It's mostly about showing up and doing it in the best way you can. We have lots of cold water sailors here.

I just found this news group tonight while surfing around.......what a great find. I am realitively new to keel boats (3rd year). We did one year on Lake Erie and are now into our 2nd season at Harbour Lights in Bayfield, Ont. and Lake Huron. I am looking forward to exploring this site more....
