Welcome ! Here's a quick primer - north east wind - bad ( the fetch gets the lake rolling ) . If you are out there and you feel the wind go cold -
GET OFF THE LAKE, it spins up fast .
The best way to think about it is , put 2 inches of
water in a bathtub and slosh around , you get violent
water reactions because it's so shallow.
Wind can vary from 0 to over 60 knots - I guess like anywhere , but the waters reaction to it can be shocking at first.
