New sailor all over again.

Well I finally made it back into the world of noiseless boating. I grew up on a neighbors boat, but now I have my own. Just trying to learn all the tricks of being my own captain.

Welcome, Doghouse (love the moniker).

Don't be bashful. Jump in on a few threads. The site is your oyster.

As for learning all the tricks of being one's own captain, ain't we all?

The nice thing about being one's own captain is you do not have to worry about mutiny

I'll call myself Capt'n

Am home schooling myself on sailing....have boat anatomy on the bathroom wall and need to listen to chatty sailors. What would you have to say?
Plan on leaving late 2010 am dyslexic so need to study first before taking my Captain's license next summer.
Tania Aebi's book though at times scary serves as a great source of encouragement.

Aloha Doghouse,
Welcome aboard! Good to have you here. Being your own captain means making all the decisions and taking on all the responsibilities. Good luck on your new boat ownership and all the joys that will come with it.
Kind regards,
JohnL
