Welcome to CF. Congrats on the new boat and remember, even though built tough, you should not attempt to sail over Niagara Falls.

It is a 1984 --classic layout. I know many prefer the encore, but I actually love this layout.

Both layouts work fine. They are a well built boat and many of them have done some impressive offshore journeys. Its a hard boat to beat for 35 feet, great choice.
