New member located in Charleston SC.

Hello! I just found this forum looking through sailing apps on my phone. My wife and I do not currently own a boat, and we can both be considered newbies.

I have sailed since I was 15yo, but not too often. I started on my dad's sunfish in a lake on Ft. Bragg. I later sailed the same sunfish in Biscayne Bay. He eventually bought an o'day 25 that I sailed on here and there.

My wife and I are eager to learn, and will be taking the ASA classes here shortly. We look forward to livaboard cruising one day. (Long goal of about 15 years)

I am also seeking information on possibly switching career to something on the water as aposed to next to it. Currently I work for USCG as a welder repairing buoys and coast guard boats.

Thank you for reading and if you are near to SC and are looking for volunteer crew for short or day sails, please let me know. I am also willing to volunteer my mechanical / welding skills for boat time aswell.

I can just imagine taking a sunset cruise with you. "You see that buoy over there? I did some welding on it in 2016. And the one over there.." It would be great fun to see your own handiwork from a different viewpoint.
