Hi new sailing friends, I've been lurking for a few months, reading posts and finally decided to create my own profile. My husband and I own a 44' Islander, S/V Silvergirl. She is currently moored at Rose City Yacht Club on the Columbia river waiting for us to sell our house and begin full time cruising.

It's always great to find other people who are Involved in similar forms of insanity!

I like your near-future plans. We just finished building a house and now are pursuing sailing! Would you guys be able to help us learn? We are three males in their mid 20's, intelligent, great cooks, adventurers, honest, happy, and driven to explore this world!

Thanks for the warm greeting everyone. Funny how quickly things change, Dear Husband has just accepted a job in So Cal, so retirement (for him) has been postponed a little. We are moving the boat from the Columbia River to Newport Beach in a few weeks and will get to see what life is like in warm winds.
