Re: New Member from British Columbia

Not being a trailer sailor, I cannot really comment. But I do not think there is dock immediately beside ramp at Okeover. Tide level also key.

I've attached satellite shot of Okeover Harbour.

ALSO: chartlet showing location of stern ties in the Copelands.

A dock next to the ramp isn't a must, but it is nice to have. Unfortunately, my wife's not comfortable motoring the boat to the dock, nor is she comfortable parking the truck and trailer! But if the ramp's not busy it's not a big deal. I just climb aboard during the launch, motor to the dock, and then walk back to park the truck. I would imagine that Okeover isn't usually super busy.

Thanks for the tip about the stern ties at the Copelands.

Re: New Member from British Columbia

SV Pelagia has given you the stern tie locations. We usually swing in the more northerly Cove. But your choice should come down to the expected weather. It's not a great location in a stronger SE wind, and the bottom is rocky in places
