New member from Austin, TX

Hi, I'm a new member here - I have about 15 years of experience as skipper and crew on a lot of different boats in Southern California (Farr '58, Lidos, Shields, etc.), a bit in Seattle area (e-scow), some Gulf of Mexico (Harvest Moon 2013, Morgan 44 CC), and some Lake Travis (catalina 20, j-boats, pearson 31, etc.). Cheers, Sally

Re: New member from Austin, TX

Howdy Sally!

And Welcome Aboard this forum.

From your boats it appears you like to go fast (I assume racing).

I always wanted to sail on an E Scow, but have never had the chance to do so. They look very cool to me, saw a big fleet up in Wisconsin once.

With your experience, I am sure you will have a lot to offer this forum, and I look forward to hearing your opinions in the future.

Many moons ago I did a little racing on Lake Travis on a J29 and Hobie 33. Fond memories of that water.

One last thing, I think it is VERY good that you included a photo (and it is a very good one) as so few people here do. I think it is nice to see a real face on a forum, and wish more people did include them.

Also, you might be interested to know there is some social group on this forum site, that is focused on or made up of women sailors (I am not a member ) as it may be something a casual visitor may miss when new to this forum site.

Re: New member from Austin, TX

There are plenty of Texas sailors here. Welcome aboard, Sally. I'm also a former scow racer.
