Hi,

My name is Gary and I've just signed up to take the ASA 101 course and learn to sail. My ultimate goal/fantasy is to get a boat that i can handle alone and get lost in the Pacific somewhere (as long as its warm).

Gary

Welcome

Greetings :
Welcome to the forum.
We wish you many pleasant hours sailing with your instructor and afterwards.
May the force be with you ;-)
I hope to get lost in the Atlantic and Chesapeake.

Welcome Gary...You have the right idea and a logical way of achieving it. I always say I sail from Palm tree line North to Palm tree line South.

Aloha Gary,
Welcome aboard! Good to have you here.
Be careful about the palm trees. I've seen them as far north as Oregon.
Kind regards,
Johnl
