New here and intro....

Hi all,

We are new here and new to sailing in general!! My DBF drives a truck and I ride with him most of the time. All kids are grown and on their own (thank God!!) DBF LOVES the water and always wanted a sailboat so we bought a 25ft coronado up in Oxnard CA. We are looking forward to spending our weekends on the boat and learning to sail. THEN we get to take the bigger step of buying a 35ft boat and going live-aboard!! So anyway, here we are, and I am looking forward to getting to "know" you all.

Welcome Paticia and Francis!! Since we are in the same neck of the woods, thought I would say HOWDY! You all weren't out and about this weekend, cruising around the harbor for about 4 hours were you? Anyway, enjoy the forum; there are lots of experts and people with tons of information - there are lots of areas to explore, and a handy little tool is the SEARCH function that might lead you to an area of interest that has already been discussed. Feel free to add and renew those areas, if they don't exactly address your questions.

Thanks for the welcome...no not us this past weekend. We were there week before last messing around though. seems like a really nice place and nice people too!!
