In order to choose the right boat you have to gather some information as budget, people traveling with you, how much space you think you will need, how often will you stop for provisions. Come back to us with some of this information for recommendations.

sailing since age 4 just looking for heavy bullet proof boat 36 or bigger cheap.... found 36 west indies 1977 but cant find out how much glass they used in hull

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here. In '77 they would have used less glass than in the '60s when they truly didn't know how strong it was. Also during that time was the great oil embargo and since resins are a petroleum product some hulls were starved to keep them cheaper.
It's good that you are shopping around for a strong hull.

where was boat made? that will also tella lot-- in usa in 70s the amount of glass was reduced. in taiwan, not so.
