New from Punta Gorda, FL

We’re happy to have stumbled upon this very informative site. We’re former Tayana 37 owners and cruised extensively around the Chesapeake Bay. We retired from Verizon in 1999 and moved to Florida where we found the Tayana keel was no match for the shallow Gulf water. We reluctantly sold her in 2005 and joined the “cruising at 5-7 knots” crowd with a trawler. We spend 3-6 months aboard Amapola each year. She’s a 48 ft, one-off, Tom Fexus design built in 1979 by Matlack in Stuart, FL.

Welcome to the forum Bob and Susan.
That's a wonderful introduction...any chance of seeing some pictures of the boat?
