New Boat Here!

Dear Board,

I'm an old boat, but I'm new to the forum. Yes, I'm British. I'll be working with ssullivan and will be getting some new batteries and a new windlass shortly.

Here are my specs and a little modeling shoot I was in:

1985 Catalac Catamarans Catalac Boat For Sale

Some of my best features are:

1) I've already cruised the Caribbean and been Trans-Atlantic
2) I have new Yanmars with 350 hours
3) I have new props and zincs
4) My sails are original, but in ok shape and running rigging is new
5) I'm built like a tank
6) I have a warm, inviting interior for a catamaran
7) I have no blisters
8) I need a name change... no more "cat jokes" please!

I look forward to having my owner ask you about all the little issues I have. I'm sure he'll be very grateful for any ideas offered, as well as ideas on good long term anchorages anywhere between Key Largo and Miami.

I'm a Southern boat. I'm not ready to head up North quite yet. I need to wait a month or two.

Seems like a cool board for a boat to hang out on.

So when does your new owner plan on taking you out for a long walk...like across an ocean?

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I had been looking at this very logically and only today have opened up the "emotional" side of things. Getting *very* excited to get her ready for anchoring out.

Not for many years. He first has to pay her off, then build up a some captial for investment income.

Where will she be anchored?

Very nice Sean. Congrats. Welcome to the multi hull club. As Budy Ebson used to say, there are only three typs of boats. A Cat, a half cat an a cat and a half. Now for the hard question, what are you going to do with all that space?

Even as a joke, not the worst name I've ever heard on a boat!

Now what kind of "graphic" can I get on my spinnaker???

No doubt it will distract the other sailors.

Yeah... those broker "fish eye" lenses are absurd.

She'll be anchored somewhere in S Florida for a bit until it's time to go back up to New England.

Want to sell me back my GPS??

Sully,

That's great news. I couldn't see you in a barge or trawler. You'll have fun.

Be careful!

Stop by on the way up.

Great shot of Catalac in front of a Cadillac.......

Just get the boat home, and if you stop in Jax I'll buy you a beer, or two. If it was me though I would head outside with anything 20 knots, and under from behind the beam.................
