Well never tought I will be interested in sailing or cruising, but the bug got me. I have extensive experiece in powerboats and fishingboats but never owned a sailboat.

I have this crazy idea in my mind to cruise from Cape st Francis in South africa to Australia.

Don't even know were to start. Which size boat to choose or make boat?. The kind of the supplies I need and and,

My budget isn't that big about $80000 to buy a boat. Here in South Africa the options isn't that extensive.

Next question is there someone that dit the trip and will be able to give me some pointers.

I know I will be needing someone that can help me to sail and learn all the smaller details .
