New, and Glad I'm Here

Hello all. Brand new to the site. Just bought a small cruiser and getting ready for the open waters of Ontario. Starting small and reckon it will be a good starting point. Love the waters and finally convinced my wife that we should try it. Rented a slip as of yesterday and expect my project cruiser to arrive in the next week or two. Will be getting it in ship shape after former owner neglect and should have it ready for the May 24 weekend. Ahh,,,can feel it already. Anyway, thought I would intro myself and let you all know that I am here for the long haul. I am a landscape designer by trade and love the water in real life. I am new and will be looking for advice from my fellow cruisers and seasoned boaters who know a lot more then I do. Appreciate the site and look forward to learing a lot from you all. Take care. Good to see another Great Lakes sailor here. What kind of boat do you sail?

Welcome aboard. In my case it was my wife who talked me into taking the first step, but that was over thirty years and seven kids ago. You'll love the life.

Re: New, and Glad I'm Here

Hi there,

I am new as of today as well, and we too just bought a new to us boat, and just leased our slip as of last weekend, sounds just like your story, lol,

Anyhow, couldnt help but notice that you said you were gonna boat in ontario, and I was curious as to where, as we are new to this and will be boating out of Bay Moorings in Penetanguishene ontario!

The wife and I would love to hear from you and make new boat buds,

Brad
