We have owned a Cal 2-46 since 2014. She was sailed to NZ by a lovely Swiss couple. The hull had
osmosis so we 100% stripped it back and glassed over. We removed the 8kwh
diesel generator and used the space for a
water maker. Plus a 100% renovate and renew right through.
Rigging.
sails.
wiring.
Plumbing. thru hulls. Hatches. Pretty much a
new boat now.Not a
cheap exercise but well worth the effort. We spent
winter 2017 in
Tonga. She is a perfect
offshore live aboard. And the massive
engine room/ workshop is a godsend.
We would be confident to sail her anywhere.
