There was a thread talking about ideas for getting your wife on board. A lot of good ideas there. With all the snow we have received the last few days, and the
forecast for the rest of the week being more snow, and how much my wife complains about the snow...
So, I've been trying to figure out, when the time comes, where I want to have my
boat.
US
west coast makes sense because it is closest to where I live, but is the least interesting to me.
We love the
Caribbean. If i just want to stay in the
Caribbean, can you just avoid the hurricanes during the season, or is it best to go north or south out of the
hurricane areas.
South Pacific would be interesting, but probably not my starting area.
I think we could spend the rest of our lives exploring
Europe and the
Mediterranean. But where do you go in the
winter. Seems the
Mediterranean is colder than I want for
winter, and even the
Canaries seem like they may be too cold for the winter.
So I am starting to think the Caribbean is where I'll study the most.
