My first thread

Greetings, and thanks for having Me aboard. Yeah...probably too soon for Me to be trying out My nautical terminology. My Wife won't let Me call Her My "First mate" either. I thought She'd be honored.
I took a look at the different forums, but I am still a bit unclear on which one would be most appropriate for My question. I am really confused. I was told by a very capable Captain that I could find a trustworthy bluewater boat in My budget of around 150K. I look at a Formosa, and read it was junk. Same with the Morgan and the Hunter...YIKES!

Re: My first thread

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.

Re: My first thread

Welcome here! I would agree that $150K is plenty for a good boat, though it depends on what size you have in mind. Fear not, there are plenty of good possibilities. You might have a look at this site as a starting point too. It is not a complete list but it is a place to start.

Good luck!

Re: My first thread

Welcome aboard! First mistake was calling your wife “First Mate”. That implies that there is a Second Mate.

Proper terminology for your wife is "The Admiral".

Here's a resource to get her started:
