Moonshadow Just Joined

Hello all,

Just want to say hi to all fellow cruisers from Jeremy & Margie who are aspiring cruisers trying to get together the cruising kitty! We live on our Youngsun 49 in Fremantle. Margie is a practice manager for a cosmetic surgeon and I am a photographer working for the Fremantle Herald newspaper. We have plans to go cruising around Australia (to start) and are currently on a huge learning curve. We bought Moonshadow in Brisbane, Queensland and sailed 'over the top' to Fremantle so we have some experience and caught the bug!

We both enjoy music and play country rock in a band called... Yes ... Moonshadow!

We look forward to learning all the tips and tricks of fellow members to help us on our way.

We are very familiar with Moonshadows history. Steve and Jaquie were just wonderful when we were lucky enough to adopt her. They kept a beautiful yacht in pristine condition and we can but hope we can do the same. It would be great if we could find any history of her when she was called Rogue River in the USA.

We so look forward to cruising. Target 24 months. (sounds less than 2y) :-)

Welcome to the dream. If you've already gone over the top of OZ you have quite a lot of experience that will stand you in good stead for the adventure ahead. The question now is; where do you go from Freemantle? You are kind of on the "wrong side" of the continent unless you claw your way back up and scoot over to Indonesia. Or are you thinking of going under the Bight to Tassie?

Planning the voyage is (almost) more fun than doing it.
