Man 'Overbored'

Lost my 2 sailboats and now stuck on land. Will get a bigger boat. What's a sailor to do?

Just curious, where/how did you lose two sailboats?

My advice would be sail on someone else's boat for awhile, as Delmarrey says.

Captain Ron: [telling how he lost his eye] Yeah, it happened when I went down off the coast of Australia.
Katherine Harvey: Your boat sank?
Captain Ron: No, no, no, no. Not my boat. My boss's boat. Yeah, we hit this reef. Huge son-of-a-bitch. Ran the whole coast.
Katherine Harvey: Wait. The Great Barrier Reef?
Captain Ron: You've heard of it, huh? Smart lady.

The whale will get you next time, if it hasn't already. You're jinxed. Wonder how many captains would accept you, given the record.

Not on our boat mate. Unless you have a REALLY good excuse for losing two boats! (I mean, it's different if you found them again when you sobered up!)

Are you saying that's happened to you?

My boats did not sink. I lost them the old fashioned way, through divorce.

Don't listen to all the naysayers, captain. I shall be happy to sail to the ends of the earth on any ship entrusted to you.

Ahh... a honorable way to lose them, never mind, it was probably worth it.

You didn't LOSE them! They were either a)stolen in an act of piracy or b) donated to a worthy cause, depending upon your point of view.

Damn, I had originally mentioned that if you lost them via divorce, it was a different matter, entirely. Guess I should have stuck with my first inclination, as usual.

Hope third time's a charm for you. Welcome to the forum

Hope you all have plenty of wind and lots of bluewater for Thanksgiving. Who needs a bird anyway. In fact I was down at the lock yesterday and yes I finally got a chance to see the loch ness monster.
