That is the Pacific coast of the US. I have had at least 14
keel boats and the only catamarans I had were Hobie 14, 16, and 21. I planned on sailing this down to
Baja but only with an experienced
captain who has done it several times. Problems are that there are very few safe inlets it seems. And yes, the
weather window is important. I would be very reluctant to sail a cat or tri down this coast. It would be interesting on hearing other more knowledgable persons. If a tri goes over, will it float upside down? My Hobies did but they were fully enclosed.
