Looking for Sober Sailing Charters

I am new to this forum, so please forgive my ineptness. I am interested in finding quality sailing charters (smaller groups) in the Caribbean with folks who are serious about recovery but who "wear the cloak lightly." Any direction would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, Lili, and welcome to CF.

You might consider putting together your own group and hiring a crewed charter. The British Virgin Islands is a great place for that sort of thing.

Aloha LiLi. Unfortunately this hobby does not have too many people in recovery...yet. The only website I found was in San Carlos, Mexico

Welcome to CF LiLi. Sorry, no suggestions, but I'm sure you will find a group. If you choose not to partake, people will respect your choice. Best of Luck to you!

I wonder whether the islands might be a tough cruise for someone trying to steer clear of alcohol, given the party atmosphere that attracts some to that part of the world. Would there perhaps be cruising grounds that lack the party atmosphere that would be a better bet for the poster?

Re: Looking for Sober Sailing Charters

Hello,
this is exactly what I'm trying to host. Been "sober" for almost 10 years now and am looking for those that also "wear the world like a loose garment". Am also a PADI OW SCUBA Instructor and own a Lagoon 440 currently in Saint Maarten. If allowed I can share my website here. Are you still looking or are any of you looking for sober sailing, SCUBA, kite, wing/foil, snorkel or just chill in and around the Caribbean?
Please PM me here or I can also talk on the phone; I know what a WILD idea!!!

Re: Looking for Sober Sailing Charters

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
