Looking For a Boat Trip

Hi guys!

First off, I'm really sorry if this is not the right place to post this - I looked at all of the forums and didn't see anything specific to this question.

My husband and I don't have a boat (although he's been looking with increasing longing into every harbor we've passed on our recent year-long road trip...) We're wrapping up our travels now and headed back to the US, but before we give up our homeless ways we're hoping to do a snorkeling sailboat trip in January somewhere in the Caribbean with another couple.

My question is - how do I find a boat from here in the US? There are a few fancypants websites, but all the ones I've seen are somewhat more expensive that I was looking for, and I know once you're in an area it's pretty easy to find info but I'm all the way up here in Chicago and for once Google is just not doing the trick. Is there a more appropriate forum here somewhere? Some other website chock-full of sailboat captains searching for paying passengers?

I don't know how to answer your request but will offer a suggestion. Try the Crew Position forum here and post something of the subject "Paying Crew Positions Wanted in the Caribbean."
You might come up with something.
