Greetings,

I've been reading posts here for years, but this is my first post.

We live near Atlanta and took our first sailing lessons in 2018 and have done several bareboat charters in the Caribbean. Our plan was to maybe buy a boat in 1-3 years but some things have changed and we are under contract for a Lagoon 440. Had the survey on Tuesday.

Assuming it all goes through, we'll be keeping the boat in a marina and visiting it every other week or so for the next year and aiming to move aboard next summer. I'll be working full time from the boat for a couple of years. Our current plan is to stick to the US east coast and Bahamas for a couple of years. After that, who knows.
