Liveaboard - ETA Sept. 2013

Hello all. First off I want to say what a great resource this community is, I'm glad I found it and I plan on being very active in the community.

I hail (not sail) from Eastern Long Island. I will soon be sailing from Eastern LI, that is, after all, what brought me to the forums. I hope to gain insight into the sailing community and in particular, the cruising/liveaboard subset.

Within the next 6 to 12 months my kitty will take me from land bound to cruiser/liveaboard. I want to read other's stories, ask questions, and compute the feasibility of how far and how long I can go.
