Leapt, and the Net Appeared . . .

Hi Everyone,

Yes, i jumped in with both feet. Bought my first boat a short while back...first night live aboard was Christmas Eve.

I've been reading the forums for quite some time now and am feeling like i already know some of you as i've followed so many threads and seen the same names come up time and time again. I am so impressed with the generosity and patience people have here.

I'm happy to finally have a chance to sign up and i'm looking forward to participating in the forums.

And, oh yes, there will be questions...

Congratulations and Merry Christmas. An auspicious day to start your boating life.

So, what kind of boat, where are you, all that stuff.

Now, your turn, ask away.

Sklp

PS there are double enders that are pointy on both ends so in case you have one of those don't get confused and try to sail backwards.

I'm back in. I'm trying to sort out the forum ony iPod touch. I think I'm all registered properly. I guess we'll see if this gets posted or not.

A little more details:

My boat is a Carter 33. She sails beautifully. Her name is Music. I was thinking about changing the name until someone pointed out that she is probably named for the Crosby, Stills and Nash song, SOUTHERN CROSS. The line in the song is, "I have my ship and all her flags are flying. She is all that I have left and Music is her name."

Too poetic, and too apropos to change...

'nuff said ;-)

Thanks for the hellos. More later!

welcome aboard mate! Good boat, and i like the name. Southern cross is a great tune, its on my "sing along sailing songs" mix.
