Just joined the forum
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say hello and thanks for letting me join in! My husband and I have a 1979 Gulfstar 50 ketch. We are only cruising around the Florida area at this time, but have sailed the Gulf on other sailing vessels. We started sailing up in the Great Lakes back in 1977. We are liveaboard folks and love the freedom!

Re: Just joined the forum
Hi. I'm Remi, raised on the west coast Canada (Gibson's, BC.. home of the beachcombers.) Living in yyc(Calgary Alberta... landlocked.) Able to work 100% remote, and with Elon Musk coming out with Starlink, I'm thinking about just dropping everything and living in a cost and traveling the world with my partner.
Dare to dream.

Re: Just joined the forum
Tell us more about your vessel and welcome . Post a photo maybe and advise what extra kit you have. If you really want to start a debate ask about anchors or the views on in mast reefing systems. Welcome anyway and guess it’s not to cold for you folks drifting around the keys or suchlike .

Welcome! Any cruising grounds around Florida that you can recommend especially? I just became a first-time boat owner here in Sarasota.

Re: Just joined the forum
Welcome.
I would suggest you fill in your profile for approximate location and boat. A lot of questions are location or boat dependent and the 2 data points display under you UserName in web view. If you need help setting up your profile let me know.
