Just booked our first charter

Hi everyone,
My husband and I just booked our first charter out of St. Martin in October. I'm pretty sure my husband is already on this forum but I am new. I joined to learn how to prepare for our upcoming adventure. We will be sailing with our two sons, who will be 4.5 and almost 2 at the time of charter. We live in Charleston, SC and sail an Oceanis 45 regularly, although we have yet to do an overnight. We hope that this charter is the first step toward eventually being a cruising family. It will probably take years to get to that point, but it's exciting to think about. The forum has already been very helpful to me. Thanks in advance to everyone who helps us prepare for our trip!
