Jumping Into 9-months No Work, All Travel

Hi -

After 20 years of working in corporate finance, I've quit my job and plan to take the next 9 months off work to volunteer abroad and do as much sailing as possible.

I've been sailing for nearly 3 years on the San Francisco Bay, up to 40-foot vessels. (Trained by Olympic Circle Sailing Club). I'm signed up to do my Coastal Passage Making course in July 2015, and I've completed the pre-requisite Coastal Navigation course.

Starting in August 2015, I will be looking for crew opportunities -- preferably in South America (since I speak spanish) or Southeast Asia (since it's cheap).

I would love to hear from people needing crew and/or offering tips.

Thanks, and fair winds!
Dan
