Introduction and question

Hi there, I am a Brazilian sailor and helping an Argentinian friend (yes we do have Argentinians friends, just a feel but good ones), to buy a boat with a red ensign flag who have an hold register mark on the bow that I would like to check. The boat is a Jeanneau 42, 1998 in good shape and the old mark is DL9812T. Does any one knows from where this register could be? Thanks in advance. R.Rerrera

Aloha and welcome aboard!
I don't recognize the register numbers but there might be others here who do. I hope you can find them.

Red Ensign? Could be British or Australian. Good luck..

Looks like a Delaware registration number - if so, the boat's probably been owned by an LLC or similar in the past.. if she's currently flying a red ensign then he may have been re registered in Bermuda.
