Re: Introduction

Hi Richard and welcome.

So where are you ex-pating from Oz?

We will forgive you for turning to the dark side since a Grand Banks is almost like a sailboat.

Aloha and welcome aboard!
As soon as I start the engine I become a powerboater. All of us who aren't purists do it from time to time.
kind regards,

Re: Introduction

Thank you. The intent is to set out up the East coast ICW and a trawler seems like the right tool for the job. Deep ocean, it's a yacht.

Hi Richard, I believe you may have sailed a yacht called 'Nikki' from Aus to Africa in '84 with my uncle, Graeme Kaiser.

Re: Introduction

Malcomonius, My wife and I sailed Nikki, a 40 foot steel Boden designed ketch from Australia to the Caribbean via South Africa in 1983 through 1985. We arrived in Durban Nov 1984 and departed Capetown June 1985. The only Graeme involved is Graeme Horne who helped Dave Jeanes to build Nikki, and now owns her. Richard
