Introducing GaelForce39

Hello all,

My name is Ken and I grew up in Maine sailing mostly on the lakes, but with some coastal sailing. I now live in South Carolina on Lake Hartwell and have been sailing here for 20+ years.

I am working on my "exit strategy" from the working world. Part of that vision has me acquiring a new sailboat to liveaboard in the next couple of years while I wrap up my work responsibilities (and save some more cash ) and then going coastal when I retire.

I would love to winter in the Keys and summer in Maine, with various side trips along the way.

Circumnavigation? An interesting idea -we'll just have to wait and see how everything plays out.

Re: Introducing GaelForce39

Welcome aboard CF Ken.

On my second RTW my wife wasn't sure about the trip, but we had a plan.

Left from home, FL Keys, went down the islands to Aruba, then I asked her which direction to go? North to the U.S., East to the Med, or West to the S. Pacific, she said West.

The Caribbean part of the cruise gave her time to get experience and confidence.

GOOD LUCK with your dreams..
