Hey genesaid, have you thought about
crewing? When I was 19 I packed up and headed out to see the world. At first I hitchhiked and crewed on boats for free. Once I got a few miles under my belt I was
paid to sail boats across the ocean, pretty darn cool. I sailed over 20,000 miles in my twenties. My best memories are of tropical breezes,
dolphins playing at the bow, the first time I spotted the Southern Cross in the black sky. I have been aboard 2 sinking vessels, at least twice I thought I'd never see land again, and had my share of psycho crew. It is not all fun but I think you already know that. You are so on the right track to want to see the world, and it is waiting to be seen.
Go for it, and welcome to the forum.
Erika
PS how to get there? start sailing, ask around for
crewing job, post a
crew available here on our crew section.
