This place is a fantastic resource for learning. I think 99% of the questions you think up will have been discussed here at some time. Go back through some of the previous posts and you will find discussions on different boats, costs to own a boat, cost to cruise, different destination, engines, sails, plumbing, electrical and anything else to do with boats.

I do recommend caution. The sailing life can be quite addictive. One taste and some are hooked for life.
