Been lurking for some time now and thought I should say a proper hello. I have been absolutely fascinated with the forum here. Literally I have spent hours and hours reading it. I love the links to blogs and
references. They side track me to wonderful digital experiences.
About Me: Sailor since teen ager. Mostly small boats, (lasers, sunfish, windsurfers, snipes, FJ's, Hobies, Scows, the occasional Catalina's (Sub 28'), Dolphins). I took my love of sailing to college (Eckerd in St. Pete FLA) and sailed on the the club there. Took some time off and raised/raising a
family and then dived back with

Now I've got it stuck in my
head that a
liveaboard experience it just the ticket after the kiddos
head off to college. Loosely the plan is to complete
ASA up to 114, complete some
bareboat vacations and then
purchase a 38-45' Cat and put it in
Charter for a couple of years.
Looking forward to a great deal of fun and bridging the experience gap.
Found this article on one of my side tracks this morning. If you are planning a
canal trip in the near future you might want to keep an eye on the labor dispute.
