Hi y’all

Charleston South Carolina here , just checking in to possibly find some like minded people. First of all I love sailing. I started off windsurfing and got the sailing bug really bad. Bought a hobie cat and discovered the jib .Some time later was asked to go cruising with my friend who lived aboard his Columbia 42 in New York’s liberty landing marina. We set sail for the northeast with ambitions of Nova Scotia however the wind didn’t favor us and we made it as far as Portland Maine . And back .
I met my wife through a Friend who new that she had professed her love of sailing and also wanted to live aboard. We moved to Sausalito Ca. And bought our first boat a pristine nor west 34 . We used the San Francisco Bay as our proving ground . Our first son was born shortly after and we were beckoned by family to move back to philadelphia where we had met and bought a house. A few years had gone by as well as the addition of our second son . I later found a Bristol 29 in Maine which I sailed to Barnegat New Jersey. Sold it a couple years later. And have been, against our will land lubbers every since. Now we are searching for the right boat to cruise the southeast.

Re: Hi y’all

Welcome.

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.
