Hi there!

Greetings all,

My name's Josh, I'm a full-time fishery manager from England. I'm very new to the sailing scene and here to learn a bit more about the hobby and hopefully get to grips with the basics.

I haven't got much of a history in regards to sailing or cruising. Until recently my only experience sailing was back when I was a child. My father used to take me out on his boat and we would fish off the stern. I used to have a great time but I never knew much about the boat or how it operated.

More recently however, some close friends took me out on their yacht and reintroduced me to sailing. I found the experience very enjoyable and feel like sailing with them more often could be a great pass time and a lot of fun.

I look forward to learning from the many experienced people here on the forums.

Re: Hi there!

Welcome... I basically learnt to sail, renovate and repair my boat between here and YouTube over the last 2-3 years. I’m in the Bahamas now. You came to the right place... Good luck.
