Hi - New Member from Boston

Hi to all, Great forum and very glad to join! I do all my boating in Narraganset Bay in Rhode Island since July of 2005. My boat is a 24 ft Stingray.
Thinking about moving the boat to Marina Bay in Quincy MA next summer, only because driving to R.I. from Boston is about 50 minutes and i waste alot of boating time on the road. Quincy is much closer 15 minutes drive.

I love Narraganset Bay especially taking the boat to Newport, but time forces me to seriously consider moving closer to home.

Anyone familiar with the Quincy/Boston area for cruising let me know if it is worth it. I have bought all the charts and read alot, but need some real on water advice of where and what to do once i move there. Will greatly appreciate any feedback.

Again, I'm very glad i joined this forum, and looking forward to our conversations!!!

Welcome aboard, we purchased our boat in Warwick, and did some sailing in the bay. However, we moved her to the CT river, closer to home, and now we are in Jax, FL. We always loved boating in Narraganset Bay, and Block Island Sound, that whole area is beautiful. Good Luck and hope you enjoy this forum, we have.

Mike and Paula, thank you for the warm welcome. I know I will miss Naragansett Bay mostly because i feel very safe cruising there, it feels like a big lake. Haven't dared going all the way to Block Island yet... Although I was very close once, but the weather got nasty suddenly and I turned around very fast, back to the safety off the Bay. I have been to SouthEast Florida many times and am hoping of moving there some day, even got a house 6 years ago. Never cruised in Florida though...

I want to wish you both happy holidays and happy cruising to all !!!

Harry
