Hello! I'm excited to join this forum. It's my first-ever Internet forum :0) I'm 30, I live on my 30 sloop on the lake washington ship canal (in the shadow of the Ballard bridge). This looks fun!

Yep! It's about a mile from the locks as the crow flies. Not counting the train bridge, the Ballard bridge is the western-most bridge on the ship canal!

Welcome, Catpainzmcspice... what a great spot to live! We searched long and hard for a slip on Lake Washington but to no avail so left our boat in San Diego for a couple of years while my wife finished off her degree. Great cruising outside in Puget sound as well... Capt Phil

I've said it before, I generally don't promote eating Canadians, but in the case of the geese they are pretty tasty!

Haha. Hey, that's my Mascot you're talking about! :0)

This is a pretty great spot for cruising. I single-handed to Poulsbo this weekend for the Viking Festival. 7.8 kts through Agate Pass with a 158 Genoa. Holy cow, I just smiled and waved at all the other sailboats I passed. :0)
