Hi, I'm Janet Groene

New to this forum, I'm author Janet Groene (Living Aboard, ABCs of Boat Camping, The Galley Book, Cooking on the Go, Open Road Caribbean Guide et al.) . For 10 years, Gordon and I lived on board our 29-foot sloop, cruising constantly. Then we sold the boat because magazine assignments took us bareboating all over the world. It was not only great for our travelwriting business, it gave us a chance to try many different boats large and small, sail and power including houseboats. I now write the Liviing Aboard column for Houseboat magazine and am a full-time, freelance travelwriter.

Welcome aboard Janet. I thought the name brought a tingle - I've read your Galley Cookbook and a number of articles. It's nice to hear that folks can make a dollar to two in the cruising writing market. It gives pluggers like me renewed confidence.
