Hi from Vancouver

Hi, My names Brodie. I currently live in Port Moody. My girlfriend and I have just purchased our new boat, Wildheart, a Douglas 32. She (the girlfriend) posts here under the name Serah. We are preparing for an offshore voyage that begins in 4 to 5 years. I am certified automotive technician, however I have spent several years in the marine repair industry. We are currently beginning a multi year refit in preparation for the journey.

Hope to learn from the forum

Hello Brodie

Welcome. Your trade will be quite useful aboard. So will a girlfirend interested in sailing. We're at the other end of the world - Tasmania Australia. It's a small world though, particularly since the internet arrived.

Our first real cruising boat was a 32 footer. It's a good size and affordable size to do long range cruising. Good luck on your refit.
