Hi from San Diego
I've been sailing off and on for over 20 years, and am Basic Coastal Cruising certified. I've sailed mostly in SD Bay, but also off the coasts of England and Turkey. I don't own a boat myself, so of course I'm happy to rent or sail on friends' boats. Also, the thought of island hopping near Croatia or in the South Pacific appeals to me, at least in the abstract.
Anyone else happen to be in SD area?

Re: Hi from San Diego
Welcome! I'm sure you'll enjoy this feisty bunch.
Why not go to the crew wanted/available section here and start a thread. Could help you find crewing opportunities, maybe even to Croatia!

Re: Hi from San Diego
Oh, and I forgot to say, I can get myself TO South Pacific or Croatia (or wherever)...I'm not saying I need to sail FROM San Diego. But yes, I know I should post in Crew Available--thanks for the suggestion.

San Diego, right here.
Our boat is on Shelter Island near the Pizza Nova, if you know where that is.

Re: Hi from San Diego
Aloha and welcome aboard!
I used to sail there in the 70s and early 80s. That's a lifetime ago for lots of folks here.
kind regards,

Re: Hi from San Diego
Welcome to CF.
Also boatless in SD.
Well except for the Dread Pirate ship Radio Flyer. We rent occasionally.
